Watermelon
The watermelon originates from Africa and is now cultivated in warmer regions all over the world. It's available here mainly in summer and also imported earlier.
It's best to store it at a cool place.

The watermelon must be harvested when it's ripe.
Ripening indicators
It should be rather heavy for its size and have a lighter-colored spot, where it rested on the floor. It also should have the "right" sound.
A good, ripe watermelon is not only deep red on the inside, but has also only a small green remaining rim.
